What Size Storage Room Do I Need?
Our grid of self storage rooms below illustrates typical uses. Please use only as a guide because how you pack and unload may vary, along with the unique nature of your items.
When you meet us at one of our Madison mini storage facilities for a tour, we will open for you a couple of storage locker sizes that from what we’ve discussed should best fit your needs. Once you have physically seen the storage unit options and visualize your items fitting into that storage room space, you will quickly be able to determine the best size for you.
Full-Height Storage Units
No need to duck! Many of the facilities in the market are in renovated buildings that end up with a shorter ceiling height, or a post or staircase in your way. Depending upon the building and roof design, our drive-up non-heated unit options range from 8-14” interior height drive up climate-controlled options units are 10-12′ ceiling height. So overall, we provide more cubic volume than many other storage rooms to rent.
Be sure to measure!
BEFORE contacting us, please know ALL the dimensions of your recreational item; boat or jet ski on the full length of trailer and hitch, RV’s, campers, trucks, cars, etc. Remember to consider rear-mounted or roof-top mounted items that may add on to overall measurements. Please measure:
- The full width from outside fender to outside fender.
- The full length.
- The greatest height (don’t forget about any towers and roof-top AC units).
